2Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and do not give it to third parties without your consent, except where the law requires it. Companies that run parts of the service for us receive only what they need: Stripe for payments, our hosting provider for running the website, and our email provider for sending email. We supervise them as the law requires.

3Data stored outside Japan

Some of these companies, Stripe among them, store or process data in the United States or other countries outside Japan. We choose companies whose data protection meets the standards of Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and check how they handle data. You can ask us for details of these measures.

4Anonymous statistics

We may publish statistics such as "average forecast by target score". These never identify you.

5How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active and for 12 months after your access ends. Payment records are kept for 7 years, as Japanese tax law requires. Waitlist emails are deleted when you unsubscribe.

6How we protect it

To prevent leaks, loss or damage of personal data we:

  • keep written rules for handling personal data;
  • limit who can access it and control access rights;
  • use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and two-step sign-in for our admin accounts;
  • check the data protection rules of the countries where our providers store data.

7Your rights

You can ask us to tell you how we use your data, to show it to you, to correct, add to or delete it, to stop using it, to stop sharing it, and to show records of any sharing. Write to support@dojojournal.com. We check that the request comes from you and reply without delay, normally within 14 days. There is no fee. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.

8Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to count page visits. You can block cookies in your browser; signing in may then stop working.

9Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
